The program coordinates housing placements, host pairings, meal arrangements, campus tours, and entertainment programming across multiple weekend events while developing comprehensive training programs for 80+ current scholars serving as hosts.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the program underwent comprehensive digital transformation, creating virtual campus tours—both general university overviews and major-specific experiences—designed specifically for online audiences. Interactive elements replicated in-person hosting connections through virtual meet-and-greets and academic department showcases. The program evolved into a hybrid model combining virtual accessibility with traditional in-person experiences, offering attendees authentic peer perspectives on university life through tailored programming that highlights Berkeley’s unique academic and community opportunities.
